Professor Kerry Carrington, Head, School of Justice, Queensland University of Technology

Professor Carrington has an extensive record of externally funded research activity and is currently the Lead Chief Investigator of an ARC Discovery Grant researching the link between violence and masculinities in rural Australia. Professor Carrington has a wide variety of criminological research interests stemming initially from her PhD work 20 years ago on juvenile justice, youth culture and female delinquency.  Her current research interests include the sociology of crime, delinquency, and violence; girls’ violence; male-on-male violence in rural Australia; sex trafficking and border control crimes; rural crime; victim’s rights; and the prevention of sexual violence.
